At this moment i cannot tellyou exactly where it is probably under or behind the glove box. remove the wire connector from it.obtain a cheap 12 volt test light. or better yet a volt meter. connect to the connecter you just removed it should have 12v power and ground. if not you must locate and test the blower motor resister. this part though should allow the fan to run at full speed even if it is bad.if you have full speed only the resister is probably bad. if voltage to the motor is ok plug the connecter back in and tap the end of the moter with ahammer if it works geta new motor anyway.it may not come on again it is worn out.

Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

Heater fan not operating

Most of the time when a heater blower quits working it is the blower switch that fails rather than the motor. Blower switch can be accessed in the dash panel.

Heater blower motor.,Highspeed only works..problem??

9 out of 10 times its the heater fan resistor doing this. it has wires that corresponed to diffreent speed settings for heater fan. the resistor is beside the blower motor, Your Kia Sportage Blower Motor Resistor controls the heating equipment in the vehicle by opening and closing the fan motor. The Kia Sportage Blower Motor Resistor allows the heating and climate control system to control the speed of the vehicle's cooling fan. its under the passenger side glove box. undo 2 screws and disconnect the electrical connector. thats it!!

Heater does not work

Check heater fuse.
If fuse good - could be a failure of the blower fan motor or blower control switch.
If fuse bad - bad blower fan motor could have blown the fuse.
DO: check fuse, then blower motor.
Pricing: new blower motor: Duralast PM270 $43.99
new heater control switch: Duralast SW229 $46.99 (without
A/C).
I'd expect your blower resistor to be good - when they fail, the blower only will work on HIGH setting.
