Alternater replaced 3 time an still bad!

I have replaced my alternater 3 times now. I have a 2004 Mazda 3. The place where I had it fix the 3 time is now saying its the computer. But when I took it to mazda thay sayed it was the alternater. That the hell is going on with my car.. O an my battery light is still on this has been going on for 3 weeks

Check the volts on the voltage regulater to see if charging correctly

I have a 2004 l300 diesel van. The alternator has stopped charging and I have 3 warning lights on the dash.The battery light , fuel filter light and the low oil light.


Hi if the alternater has packed up then the ecu has put these falts up becouse it sees a falt in the system ,get the alternater fixed and then the other falts should wright there selves,hope this was some help.

What makes voltage light and fuel light come on and stay on. On my 1995 mazda 929


Hi,if you are talking about the red light for the alternater is on then it means that the car is not charging,and the fuel light is to do with the sender unit in the fuel tank.
to see if the alternater is working ok you need to put a mullty metre on the battery and see what the voltidge is,get some one to press the frotal pedal you should see the reading jump up from 12v to about 14v approx,if the valtidge drops bellow 12v or dose not increase then the alternater is falty replace,
then to check that the fuel sender is working find the wires on the fuel tank take off and join together switch on ignition if the fuel diyal dose not go to full then replace the gauge if it dose go to full replace sender.

How do I replace my alternater belt in my Mazda 626 lx


If the alternator is on the top in the open, just loosen the alternator bolts a little bit. Then push the alternator to loosen the belt to remove it. Do the opposite to put the new belt on.

If the alternator is buried under a lot of other things, it's a lot tougher job.

I am getting hold ligth on on my dash board,when i start the engine,the engine fuse break,i have change the alternator n check all the fuses,if i disconnect the wiring from the alternator the engine runs...


There might be a short between the alternater and ground.
Check wiring
Disconnect battery and alternater wiring from the back of the alternater and with a multimeter check for continuity between the BAT stud on the back and the alternater housing.There shouldn't be any.

F350 2004 6.0 brand new alternator not charging new batteries , battery light stays on , what could I be missing?


Just cause its a new alternator does mean it should work. I would check the charge when running cause it could just be a bad alternator.

If the alternater light has come on in the car that means that the alternater is bad and you need to replace. You can also have it checked at your local auto parts store if you would like.

Alternater is nocking i think its goin out or just might need to


Alternator knocking ????is the alternator light on is it charging as is almost impossible to get a knocking out of a alternator and it still charge at the same time.
Start engine ind get a small plastic tube and put it on the alternator and put your ear to it and you should hear the noise real bad.
And you should feel it getting real hot after run for 3 minutes if not its not ALTERNATOR

your starter is bad.... the two contacts inside the solinoid are worn out only way to fix is replace the unit as a whole bet ya you get click click click then my start.. bet my life on this one been fixin toyotas for 20+ years

Mazda Mpv 2000 I also have the same problem, the alternater is testing good- 14.12Amp, so what is the problem the battery light will not go off.
