Check the thermostat in the cooling circuit for the heat problem; it could be stuck. As for the O2 sensor.....Check the thermostat first. Its cheaper.

I put a new heater core in my blazer and now the heater is blowing cold air why?

You need to verify that warm coolant is getting to the heater core by touching the hoses going into the firewall. If they are both the same temp or close, you might have a blend door actuator broken or sticking that does not direct warm air into cabin area

Blowing cold air

I had the same problem that I just fix by flushing the heater core out with a hose.   take the two hoses off the fire wall and put the water to it and let flush.  my heater is putting out 150 dg. F  of hot air.   I'm so excited!  i will stay warm now.
