ASTRA ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS)
The Vauxhall Astra ABS warning light will illuminate yellow for a few seconds after the ignition has been started to self-check. The system will be operational when the light extinguishes. On occasion an ABS light will come on when a brake light is out. So check your brake lights first. Your ABS light is on because there is a malfunction in the ABS system. Is your brake warning light and your ABS warning light both on? This would be an indicator of a major malfunction in the ABS system. Stop driving the vehicle and fix this immemorially. If only your ABS light warning light is on this will not effect normal braking but the ABS system is disabled while the ABS warning light is on. You still need to have it repaired but you still have brakes for the moment. Now the code for this fault will be stored inside the ABS memory module. So you pinpoint this with scanner. Hello. This indicates that you have a bad sensor or a problem with the antilock braking system [ABS]. If your brakes no longer pump themselves when you make a quick stop you know that the antilock braking system is not working. If they still pump, the problem is more likely in sensor to the ABS system. Joe

ABS ( anti lock brake system ) either you have a fault in the system or it registered that it lost traction whilst braking, maybe in the ice ? If there is not a fault with the system, it should go off after a few metres driving above 20kph, if it stays on , then it would be wise to go and get it checked at the dealer, hope that helps

I have a 2000 Audi A4 and the break wear sensor warning light come on for me too. It does not flash and is orange in color. I have asked the Audi dealer twice about it and they told me it's because the previous owner put aftermarket break pads on it, thus messing up the sensors. I don't know about the ABS warning and other than that I wish you luck on it.

if the sensor is located on the diff. sometimes the lube in diff gets lots of metal shaving and they collect on tip of abs sensor and cause it to ground out to triger light on if this is the case you have to have diff. flushed and refilled with fresh lube.

Check to see if your brake pads and rotors are in good condition. Or if you have replaced the pads yourself and have not reset the wheel sensors this would cause the ABS Antilock Brake System light and the ASC Automatic Stability Control light to stay on as the ASC uses the ABS brakes with computer assistance to control the car

hi their how are you ? are you local to east sussex ?i work out of their it hard to say why your airbag light i on most of the time it the wireing undre the front seats get move or comes unpluged but you wont be able to turn the light out without a computer if its loged a fault now as it thinks that there is something wrong it would have to be rest sorry. the abs light comeing on when you start the car means their is a fault with the abs motor or a wheel sensor but again with out pluging in to the car its hard to tell you what the problem might be the reverse light is most of the time ie a bulb switch in the gear box or a fuse . i hope that helps you let me know what happens thanks
