1st check and make sure you have a good ground on the battery. Check the battery. Make sure it passes a load test. It is possible that the battery is not holding a charge. Make sure all alternator connections are connected.
Sometimes a bad alternator will still test good. It needs to warm up before it start failing. Happened to me once. Took it to autozone and had it tested but came back fine. Car left me. Took it out there was rattle to the starter, but it still tested good. It had a bad bearing. Luckily the guy from Autozone knew it was bad, so I got a new one and battery held a charge.

renew the alternator ,the brushes/commutator are gone .put it on a better becch test with a 60 amp loading minimum and see what i mean or better still remove the regulator housing and inspect the brushes and the commutator and see what i mean

Have you had your battery tested as to whether or not it will take a charge? Autozone will do that without charge (they would, of course, like you to buy a battery from them if you need one).
