Where is the crank sensor located on a 1999 oldsmobile intrigue 3.5 engine???? easy to replace or not...

Its behind crankshaft balancer or pulley.its not hard to replace but.you need a harmonic balancer or crankshaft balancer remover tool and a installing tool for harmonic balancer.WARNING THIS IS A DANGEROUS JOB IF FIRST TIME WORKING ON CAR.YOU HAVE TO RAISE CAR WORK UNDERNEATH.THATS WHAT MAKES IT DANGEROUS.I WOULD NOT ADVICE YOU TO DO JOB UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME MECHANIC TRAINING OR TRADE SCHOOL SKILLS.

Usually all crankshaft sensors are located right next to the main drive pulley (Harmonic balancer). As far as being easy is concerned some are not so easy as some require the removal of the harmonic balancer to get to it.. but you might be lucky Gm is pretty good at making the Crankshaft sensor accessible without removing the harmonic balancer.
