Its going to be amp #17 that's blown. Take apart your driver's door panel and make sure all of the wires are connected.

I have a 99 jetta . the key ignition has a starter switch that screws on the end of the igniton . the tip of the key gose into the starter switch that starts the car. it has one little screw holding it on. you will need a brake down of the colum to get to it. I had to put a new one in my jetta. good luck! (Robert brown)

92 vw jetta,wont start,runs for3 seconds,when i turn ignition switch on,nodash lights,only battery light appears,no other lightslightup like before,locks work,dont understand what to do now

Is this a 92 Jetta like you describe or a 02 Jetta TDI? If it's a 92 Jetta, I can almost guarantee the ignition switch is bad. Common failure. They're cheap, but require special tools and experience to remove.

My 99 jetta wont turn over out the blue...its not the battery AAA said it fully charged ..my locks wont work...the radio works but it wont turn over at all

Sounds like its the battery in the key fob, the door clicker thing, some times the fob battery will not reserve enough power in it to open the doors to prevent a lock out. I would start there as it is the cheapest route, if that does not fix it the next thing to try is the starter. as this will not hinder the locks I am confident that the Fob battery is the issue here.

I bought a 1996 Jetta GLS, drove it home with no problems. This is my first car and wanted to learn how to drive a stick, i killed it of course but now it wont even start again. I turn the key all the way...

I would have the battery checked out still, it don't take much power for the radio to work, and by what you say, that the gas and temp. gauge jump up and down when trying to start, that tells me weak battery, most auto parts will do a free battery test for you, have it checked out. hope this was very helpful.

2000 dodge intrepid wont start just makes clicking noise and lights and radio work

probably dead battery. it probably has just enough juice to run the lights and radio but not enough to make it start. could be battery or alternator.
