My 1994 chevy s10 blazer is running rough and on take off it spits and sputters and a poof of black smoke comes out of the exhaust

Check the spark, it should be blue, if it is yellow than you need to check your ignition system, coil,spark plugs, spark plug wires, dist cap, rotor ect.
Black coming out the exhaust is unburned fuel, when you have the spark plugs out do a compression test.
