Can't find the starter location.Car won't start

located in the bundle under the dash,

Its located in the under hood engine compartment fuse box.

There will be three same relays.One for fuel pump and other for horn and bit bigger one for starter controlling.

It's on the backside of the motor if you stand on the drivers side and look down on the back side of the motor you can just see it the best way to get at it is put the car up on jack stands get under the car it's in the middle of the back of the motor.

Most of the time this is caused by the anti theft system. It disables the starter and leaves you stuck. This is very common on GM vehicles. Read up on this link for info, pictures, and "do it yourself" solutions to the problem.

If you can locate the starter,tap on it with a hammer a couple of times then try to start up.It may take several tries but it should work eventually because a starter doesn't usually fail 100%.If you can't locate it call around,someone will tell you for free because they want your business.Dealer,shops,whatever.Good luck!

It appears to be in the wiring under the dash above pedals. Photo I saw shows 2 relays taped inline in a wire bundle.

I agree with the mechanic, the most likely cause is the ignitions switch. The ignition switch has nothing to do with the starter.

most likely it will be on the starter all one unit so you will need to replace the starter
