What is the oil capacity of a mazda 626 LX

2.0L - 3.7 quarts.
2.5L - 4.2 quarts.

The oil dip stick may have it marked but in general all cars use 4 or more quarts or more after draining the oil ( you could measure it ) put in 4 quarts of oil and run the engine, check the oil and add the amount thatthe stick says. If its 1/2 quart low add a 1/2 quart if you change the filter its going to be more

My 2001 mazda 626 Lx L4 2.0L takes 3-1/2 quarts of oil.

Prob right around 4 Qts. Id put that in and then start it and check. it may need slightly more like 4.2 Qts total. deff less than 5 qts
