I have an AIWA CD player I bought from Best Buy and since the warranty has expired they won't fix it. I want someone to repair it. The ''spinner part'' won't spin most of the time. One of the 5 discs will, but it won't on 4 of them. And the one that does spin, the music will come on and off....stop and start. Can this be repaired or should I throw away the system?
Due to the cost of any repair/diagnosis i would recommend that you get another unit, probally not the same brand(it sucks but i did this with a C D stacker and even the supplier didnt want to help due to such an ordinary product);repair could be $90++new good cheap unit not much more
Most 5 disk systems are touchy on a good day and fail easily. I have had some success repairing some but most cannot be repaired. Perhaps a new drive belt will fix the tray but the laser seems to be touchy and it may be just easier to dispose of the whole thing. Electronics these days are too expensive and fussy to repair but cheap enough to replace.
