I have an AIWA CD player I bought from Best Buy that does not wor

I have an AIWA CD player I bought from Best Buy and since the warranty has expired they won't fix it. I want someone to repair it. The ''spinner part'' won't spin most of the time. One of the 5 discs will, but it won't on 4 of them. And the one that does spin, the music will come on and off....stop and start. Can this be repaired or should I throw away the system?

Most 5 disk systems are touchy on a good day and fail easily.  I have had some success repairing some but most cannot be repaired.  Perhaps a new drive belt will fix the tray but the laser seems to be touchy and it may be just easier to dispose of the whole thing.  Electronics these days are too expensive and fussy to repair but cheap enough to replace.

Unlock stucked cd in cd player

In most units these days, you should be able to gently pry open the CD tray with power off. If it's one of those that "sucks in" the CD, then you'll have to get inside the dash panel and remove the unit to get the CD out -- or take it to your local sound place (like a car audio place, Best Buy, Federated, etc,) and have them help you out. If it's in a car that is under warranty, take it to the dealer -- which is the ONLY time I would say those words.

Hyundai door jammed

This is a problem for the dealer if the vehicle is still under warranty (and it might be with Hyundai).

However, if the vehicle has been in an accident, the warranty may not apply. If that's the case, you should check with your insurance agent who will likely send an adjuster out to investigate and possibly recommend a body shop.

My Hyundai dealer was great as long as the warranty was in force but I had one nagging electrical problem they couldn't solve.

As soon as the warranty expired even though it had been an on-going problem, they wanted to make up all the money they had spent over the previous five years trying and failing to fix the problem so I got rid of the car. And, I didn't buy another Hyundai.

A jamming door can be as simple as a lack of lubrication or as complex as a bent frame. It's gonna take a hands on mechanic to determine exactly what it is and the dealer is the best place to start...especially if the warranty is still in force.

When I bought my Hyundai new, the warranty was transferable and if I had traded while the warranty was still in force, the warranty would have still been in effect for the new owner

Does this car have a manufactures warranty ? If so this should be covered. Even if the warranty has recently expired, they would normally cover this as a goodwill gesture if you are persistant. : )

Out of Warranty pal. You can attempt to fix it yourself, but, if you don't have an electronics backgound, I don't expect you to succeed. Best replace it.

CD changer problem disable play or reject CD function

I sould checkyou phone book to see if there is a bussiness that repairs car radios and cd players.
Other wise you should look into a new cd player at a local electronic store that sells car radios and cd players. The last option is to go to the dealer and order another one.

Cd player

"PEO" USUALLY means Player Error Optical, which means in most cases the
laser has malfunctioned. When this happens of course,no CD or disc will
play. You can try and clean it with a disk cleaner and if that doesn't work you are probably gonna hafta buy a new cd player. I have a link to a best buy private auction that lets you bid on things like cd players and what not. I bought one, a Pioneer DEH 2900 for 16 bucks!, Lemme know and I'll have it sent to you.

Toyota avalon csx 2000 cd player

I had the same problem. It is probably the laser reader for the CD player. I took it in to the dealer and was referred to a vender as the warranty had expired. I took it the vender 10 days ago and just had it re-installed today. Works well. BTW, the dealer took it out and send it to another company which repaired it and sent it back.
