I would suspect the starter solenoid has failed.

A starter solenoid (or starter relay) is the part of an automobile which relays a large electric current to the starter motor, which in turn sets the engine in motion. In many vehicles the solenoid also engages the starter pinion with the ring gear of the engine.

The starter solenoid receives a large electric current from the car battery and a small electric current from the ignition switch. When the ignition switch is turned on, a small electric current is sent to the starter solenoid. This causes the starter solenoid to close a pair of heavy contacts, thus relaying a large electric current to the starter motor, which in turn sets the engine in motion. The starter motor is an electric motor that initiates piston motion in a car's internal combustion engine before it can power itself.

1998 ford mustang no start just a single click

If the starter is clicking when you turn the key that means it is getting power. It could possibly be a bad new starter but before taking it out and testing check your battery and ground connections. Make sure they are clean by using some sand paper. There is also a ground wire that hooks to engine make sure it is hooked up and not corroded. Even though you bought a new battery make sure it is fully charged. Remember to remove the ground from battery before taking any positive wires off. Hope this helps.

Car wont start has charged battery lights and radio come on new starter. drainging battery even though the battery is fully charged its reading its not tempature gauge reading hot but its not runn

If the problem began when (or soon after) installing the new starter, start checking there. Ensure that all cables to the starter are tight. As a second possibility, if the new starter was actually a rebuilt replacement, the solenoid could be faulty. (I went through three rebuilt starters on my son's truck until we got one that worked properly.)

1996 Mustang no power to interior

I had a problem with a loss of power in my Mustang before and believe it or not, it turned out to be my starter. My starter was steadily draining all my power. I was charging the battery while i was at work and i had just enough battery to get home. Then i would charge it over night and same thing next day. Replace your starter and your problems may dissappear:) best of luck!

94 MUSTANG GT,STARTER CLICKS BUT WONT CRANK, NEW STARTER NEW POSITIVE CABLE, CHARGED BATTERY, HEADLIGHTS WORK GOOD

When you installed the starter you may have inadvertently put the gears in a bind. Make sure the bendix meshes properly with the flywheel. The bendix is the small gear on the starter that slides out and connects with the flywheel when the ignition key is turned.

Vehicle will not start- engine will not turn over , how can i fix this >

Begin by fully charging and load testing the battery, checking and cleaning, cable ends, checking connections at block and starter. After that, check for power at the small terminal on the starter with the key in the start position. Check starter relay and fuses in the power distribution center. If you have full battery voltage at the starter main terminal and the smaller trigger terminal, replace the starter. The remainder of the system can be tested using a chiltons or haynes manual as a guide (wiring, key switch etc) Also make sure your security system isn't locking you out.

Car wont startchevy blazer2001 v6 2 w drive, starter clicks but wont turn over, battery is fully charged. Not sure what is wrong had the starter tested and it tested just fine

If the starter is clicking then it has a problem. or maybe somewhere from the battery to the starter is losing power and not giving the starter full boost.

I would check the earth battery lead to the car body from the battery and from the battery to the starter, ensure all wires have a gopod contact, they can rust up and may look ok but still can cause this fault.

If still no joy then the celinoid must have gone on the starter, thats not the main part but the smaller barrel on top,
