if there is no check engine, maybe you can check fuel filter, sparkplug, ignition coil.

Does your engine when you rev it, makes a foul sounds, or it just wont rev higher than 3000 rpm?

If the suggestion that you have already received was to replace the throttle position sensor then it is easy to test. The only thing that you would need would be a multimeter and the spec for what the ohms should be for your vehicle. A good place to look is at you local autoparts store. If they leave their repair manuals on the shelf you can look for the proper ohms readings in there. If you test the output from the sensor and it is out of spec replace it. This problem could, however, mean many things. If your check engine light comes on during the shuddering you can have most autoparts stores(advance, autozone at least in Maryland) hook a code reader up to your car for FREE is the vehicle is older than 1996! You could then use this info to stop the guess work. Hope this helps.

My Mitsubishi Pajero 3500 petrol model 2000, its not going over 100km & 3000 RPM, gives black smoke. Changed plug coils, changed MAF sensor, Changed the GDI fuel pump, but the problem still persist

Symptoms seem to show the engine is running rich, like the choke is on in a carb system. It could only mean it's hard to start after warm up and the plugs are always wet with fuel. This is normally cared for by the computer. When first started, computer places the engine into a "cold start" mode, raising the idle and giving it more fuel into the cylinders until engine is warm. Then the computer tells the engine to go to normal "run" mode and all is well. Now, if the temperature sending unit/sensor cannot tell the computer the engine is warm because it is faulty, stuck in a closed position, the computer doesn't get this message because it doesn't get sent out. I feel that if you replace the said sending unit/sensor, you will see that the black smoke/unburnt fuel has stopped after warm-up. Then all is well in Pajerotown.

GDI engine concerns:

Higher cylinder temperatures and pressures released into the crankcase accelerate oil vaporization. Eventually this causes oil droplets to coat intake valves.
Cylinder injector spray position means fresh fuel is not sprayed onto intake valves and flush away vapor build up. This build up can accumulate and bake on intake valves in as little as 10,000 miles (16,000 km).
Rings can become stuck into their lands by carbonized oil sludge. This can prevent these engine’s low-tension rings from properly sealing the piston. This also causes sludge, oil, and fuel deposits to bake onto piston tops.
Since inception, GDI engines have had known problems with coking—buildup of cooked fuel deposits that foul injectors.

Hey have you tried disconnecting and re connecting the battery? my mitsi carisma startd doing that so i rang up dealer and aparently they do it when the computer thinks there is something wrong with the engine, so it enters slow mode (or turtle mode or something) so that minimal damage is done while you drive it slowly to yr mechanic. Could be complettly wrong tho. Good luck.

Hi it sounds like your high pressure pump needs replacing. the pump can be repaired but you will have to find someone who knows about it, i fix a lot of them before. there is a spring that pushes out the piston in the pump so it can compress the fuel that spring losses its ability to extract the piston back out. i have pictures of one if anyone wants to see
