Code 32 on the airbag diagnostic circuit indicates a drivers side air bag wiring resistance out of range. This could be the connections on the clock spring in the steering or a loose connector to the air bag in the steering wheel. If you are not familure with the proper diagnostic proceedures I do not recomend attempting to repair it yourself. If the air bag circuit is not de-energized before removal there is a possibility of air bag deployment when removing it.

When my 2000 explorer had that issue it turned out to be the connector beneath the seat. Someone had kicked it. I learned the hard way the first time it happened. Ford dealer replaced the bag for $800. It happened again a few months later and I was told to check the connection under the front seat. I complained to Ford directly and they sent me a check for the $800. I have never heard of that before but good for Ford. I replaced both under-seat connectors within a year of each other and never had the problem again. Shame on that dealer.
