well on the mk3 like mine its right under next the front mount of the engine, below the distruibutor, both mk3 and 4 8v's are the same motors just a different style of intake. good luck
no its a new clutch cable for this vehicle as its auto adjust cable ,so when new one is fitted do not remove the clamping piece of wire in the middle of the cable till its all fitted
My mk3 1996 16v 2ltr was playing up, wouldnt start when cold, wouldnt rev above 4500-5000. I changed the ignition switch, ecu relay, petrol pump relay, plugs, plug leads, coil, and finally, checked the hall sender on the dizzy, and found a broken wire in the dizzy body. Got a 2nd hand dizzy from a breakers for 40 quid, (150 or more new) and all is well. (I actually took the car to two garages and they couldnt find the problems, no faults registered on vagcom).
well if the clutch is fine and your box is fine.. then its most likely your gear linkage.. these are adjustable... the linkages are also very bad for siezing up...
The wiring is different, if your Golf had headlights with H4 bulbs then changing to high beam turns dip off. The GTi has separate dip and high lights, on high beam dip stays on (all 4 bulbs on).
What about it?
