You can buff out the old plasitc lenses. Harbor Freight sells a kit. Or you can do it yourself. Buy a sheet of 1000 and 2000 grit wet dry sandpaper. mask off the paint around the light. Wet sand with the 1000. When the results look good continue with the 2000. Finish with some car polish. Results should last for about 2 years. You can buy a polish just for head lights to touch and seal, use as needed, available at car parts stores.
This happened to my 2002 F250 also, took to the dealer & they said its common for the message center to stop operating & needs to be replaced. They quoted me $359 for a new message center & labor. Wish I knew how to remove the old one, I could probably do it myself.
if its the same as an 06 Tundra, you should be able to remove the lense cover from the back of your truck cab with a screwdriver and pull the light bulbs out...Do not remove the screws below the lense cover that removes the fixture, they have a screw insert that will fall into your truck's body and get lost.....hehehehe I learned that from my own experience...good luck!
this is a common ford ignition cylinder problem.you can buy a new key cylinder at a checker or autozone cheap.remove column cover and push small metal button and cylinder comes out
You open the hood reach behind the light assm. and unplug the light grab the lock collar and twist it towards the drivers side and remove then grab the back of the bulb and wiggle up and down while pulling out then reverse the process to install note; do not touch the bulb with anything otherwise shotened light life will result.
