Flashing Dome light constantly when ignition on

We had the interior fuse block replaced a couple of weeks ago on our ambulance which is a 2008 f-350 with the 6.4 diesel and now the dome light flashes whenver the ignition is in the "run" position. It did not do this at first. Any ideas as to the cause?

Solution: The computer needs to be reprogrammed if the fuse block is replaced. No one bothered to inform the mechanic of this when he ordered the part even though he specifically asked.

The solution was it had to be reprogrammed by the dealer. You can't just change this unit out and go on with your happy life. The dealer has to hook up their magic box and program it to work correctly. I hope this helps someone else in the future!

Had an issue with my interior dome lights and truck bed lights flickering in my 2006 F250 Superduty. Door chime was also going off without the key in the ignition. The problem started draining my batteries. A long process to troubleshoot.

The problem was the instrument cluster. My mechanic said, he never experienced this issue. Truck runs brand new now

Got my cluster from Circuit Board Medics. Almost got rid of the truck, but now I'm rolling again.

Check all fuses one might have blown and this could be a warning sign in the old days if you blew out the tail lights the interior light would come on and the signal indicator for which bulbs but also buy the electrical manual available from ford and search out the wiring there could be a jumped circuit

if it is covered by a white plastic then inspect it carefully and look for slots where you can put tiny screwdrivers to pry the plastics off, then you can replace your bulb. just be careful not to break the plastic.

Look closely at the cover. You will see a small slot. Insert a small flat blade screwdriver, and pry it off. Very easy..

SOURCE: Radio and interior dome lights have no power.

I just had the same problem with my 2001 escape from relacing the radio and wires accidently crossed. I switched both fuses like you said, and got no where...until....I noticed there is a 10 fuse hidden on the far right side of the panel, closest to the brake pedal. The fuse actually runs vertical unlike any of the other fuses which run horizontal, so it is kind of hidden..try that fuse, it should solve your problem, if not then I don't know sorry..

You will have to pry off the lens CAREFULLY using a small screwdriver. There are two (or more) little plastic protrusions on each long side of the lens which fit into the casement. Look for very small slots along the side of the lens to insert the blade of the screwdriver. You can ease the casement away from the lens enough to get it to pop out. Re-inserting it is the same, but probably easier.
Gently, give it a try.
Hope this helps you.

2011 highlander dome light only works when manually turned on. Why?

Hi,

please make sure that the switch corresponding to the dome light is in the same states that it was a few weeks ago. It sounds like someone might have shifted the switch and thus changed the state in which the dome light comes on after the door is opened.

Thank you.

Why are my interior lights continuously flashing then stop flashing for a few seconds, then repeat the same pattern in my 08 ram 1500?

Check fuse #2 in the under hood fuse block if it's OK disconnect the battery for several minutes to clear the cluster and body control modules then reconnect make sure the dome lights aren't turned on with the switch on the dash. I hope this helps. Take care.

2003 grand am no dash or rear lights fuses keep blowing mechanics cant figure out, tries tracing through driver door didnt work, go over bump it blows out,

Does your interior dome light work,if it doesnt take the dome lamp assembly out and disconnect the wire harness from there, reinstall the fuse and recheck lights,The possible short is coming from 2 likely areas the dome light or the dimmer light, what you do to the dome light to trouble shoot the short you will also perform on the dimmmer switch

The interior lights will not come on when door opens, the visor lamps will NOT light no matter what, radio lights work normally the turn signal lamps blink fast, but all bulbs light

For the turn signal flashing fast - MAKE SURE you have all bulbs flashing that are SUPPOSED to be flashing. The front side marker lamps are part of this equation.

As for the interior (dome and visor) lamps, there is a fuse labeled "CTSY LAMP" in the fuse block. The lamps themselves are controlled by the body control module (BCM). The CTSY LAMP fuse only provides input power to the BCM. I would start with a scan of the BCM to see if it can shed any light (No pun intended) on your problem.

95 Camry interior lights don't work

The ecu-ig fuse is for the ignition from the Electronic Control Unit, or computer. The SRS fuse is for the Supplemental Restraint System, that is for the air bag system. The dome light is fused with a 7.5A fuse called "dome", which is up in the engine compartment junction block #2, on the inside of the left front wheel well. The "dome" fuse is in the lower left quadrant of the block.

Reverse and interior lights out, chevy express van

Fuse block under the hood. Driver's side, under the brake master cylinder. Number 18. TCB#2. Replace the fuse.

There is an under-engineered ground in the reverse circuit. If you back up with the dome lights on, it could blow that fuse. There should be some extra fuses under the cover of the fuse block.

1991 Dodge Dynasty interior dome lights won't shut off

First, check the dimmer switch (should be the same as the headlight switch) and make sure it is not turned all the way to the right as that will turn on the overhead light.
If you are sure the door switch is fine, then I would replace the dimmer switch.
