The Geo Storm was made by Isuzu Motors from 1990 at 1993 with the next engine sizes:
1.5 L SOHC l4 (Japan only)
1.6 L SOHC l4 (US, Canada only)
1.6 L DOHC l4
1.8 L DOHC l4
1.7 L diesel l4

In 1992 all three models of the Storm got a new headlight cluster, tail light, and front clip. The GSi version also got a new spoiler and a larger DOHC engine which offered 10 extra HP.

Hope helped with this (remember rated this help) Good luck.

you may have turned too many rmps and warped a piston which would cause the piston to actualy hit your valve, or while turning too many rpms you may have caused the valve to "float" which would mess it up

These can have many pages and many year-to-year and model variations.
Check Haynes and Chilton for an aftermarket service manual for your car. They are between ~$17-$30 and will earn their money back many times over and available online and at most any auto parts store.

SOURCE: 92' GEO Storm cranking issues

That is Inflatable Restraint light
Airbag problem
Sensor failed, or something else in the airbag system.
The light is on because that system has detected a problem within the air bag system. Anything from an accident to a broken wire somewhere! This system is disabled as long as the light is on but the bag could still go off if the right sequence of events happens, just to be on the safe side, I would have the codes checked to see if it's something simple or not. A Geo Metro is not the safest car to begin with, you need all the help you can get!

I have a 92 geo storm gs and its the longer style body not the sportsy and they all say its the 1.8 liter engine for that model and year!! BUT under my hood it says that its a 1.6...So witch is it??

Hello karenb461,

There were two engines that could have come in that model 1.6 and 1.8. The 1.8 is a duel over head cam where as the 1.6 is a single over head cam.
