DTC - 15 Engine coolant temp sensor error (low temp indicated)
DTC - 22 Throttle position sensor error (signal low)
DTC - 33 MAP sensor circuit error (signal high indicating low vacuum)
DTC - 34 MAP sensor circuit error (signal low indicating high vacuum)
DTC - 44 Oxygen sensor error (lean condition indicated)
DTC - 53 Digital EGR Valve solenoid 1 error

MAP is short for manifold absolute pressure sensor,,it senses the manifold pressure and applies the right amount of gas with the right amount of ignition timing so the car runs and performs well if this does not work properly,it throws off the whole loop cycle for the computer,,which in turn makes it run badly,,and get poor fuel economy,,it causes one to have a lack of power,,combined with a loss of fuel economy,,and also poor take offs,,and sometimes an occasional stalling,,i hope this helps.

EGR system was really developed for was emissions control. the purpose of the EGR valve is to regulate the amount of exhaust gas recirculated back into your combustion chamber to send the gasses through another cycle in order to eliminate any excess pollutants like NOX (nitrogen oxides), N2 (nitrogen), O2 (oxygen), CO2(carbon dioxide) and HC (Hydrocarbons). the EGR was also developed to lower combustion temps that's another reason why the exhaust is recirculated the exhaust gasses will not burn therefor lowering combustion temps, because there is less "usable" air going into the cylinders.

You should get a working egr back on the truck and you'll also need a map sensor for this vehicle to run correctly.

When the egr valve is bad on a 1992 honda accord wagon what happens?

If it's stuck closed, you will feel no ill effects. If it's stuck open, the car will not idle right and be hard to start. If you're getting an egr trouble code from your accord, test the egr valve to make sure it's working; use your finger to push up on the egr valve diaphragm, while the car is idling....car should shake and shut off if the egr valve is good. The one vacuum solenoid that feeds the egr valve, on that generation accord, is known to go bad and cause the egr trouble code. Check that solenoid if the egr valve tests ok.

What causes a 1994 chevy pickup with 350 motor to surge at idle then die. Has little power, runs rough, bad fuel economy. disconnected egr valve, no change, replaced throttle position sensor, no change.

is the check engine on? are there any trouble codes? one posible cause would be a restricted fuel filter, a worn fuel pump, or a restricted exhaust system.

Hey chevy s/10 2.2 code po405 egr any fixs

You have two options to fix this error code. One, obviously, you can replace the EGR valve. If you do this, just reset the codes and you should be good to go. Two, you can remove the EGR valve and clean the carbon build up out of it. You can do this with throttle body cleaner and just make sure to let it dry out before you put it back on. You need to make sure that the valve (diaphram) is moving freely after you clean it. If it isn't, you are going to need to replace the EGR valve. Let me know if you have any further questions. The eGR valve. It is opening when it is supposed to but when the temp gets hot it stops operating correctly.

Egr valve is bad on my 1989 chevy with 305

You block it off before the valve on the metal pipe that runs to the EGR valve. The problem is that when you go to get it smogged you have to replace the EGR or it will not pass smog
