I have a 2006 town & county lx and the check engine light came on and the transmission was stuck in second gear. Took it to the shop and they replaced all the wires to the main wiring harness and cleared all the codes. Now the check engine light, air bag lights (passenger & dash), and a small red circle is lit up on the dash in the upper right hand corner. The van is also stuck in second gear again. I looked in the manual about that small lighted red dot but cannot find anything in the manual. I took it to the shop and they could not get into the computer of the van to pull the codes. Can you please tell me what could possibly be wrong with the van? Or If you have heard about other vans having these kinds of problems?

I hate to say it, but if that wasn't a Chrysler dealer that you took it to originally, or an experienced Chrysler Mechanic, they may have done more harm than good. If it was a Chrysler dealer, take it back, and give them one more chance to make it right. If they don't rectify it, call Chrysler owner relations. If it was not, take a copy of your work-order from other place with you, to a dealer and ask for a proper diagnosis, and if they have any idea if previous work done, was the cause of it all, or any.

2006 PT Cruiser Limited Turbo, check engine light on and flashed various codes. P0882, P0714, P0700, P01603, P0551, P0100 and P0101. Can i do pin test?

Code 100 and 101 are for problems with the Mass air flow meter.
Have you checked it ?
You can pin test the computer but you may need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams.

Have a hyundai elantra it is shifting hard going in second no check engine light on. took it to a transmission shop they couldnt find anything wrong with the tranmission. what do i need to do next?

I've had the same issue in another car. Have a transmission flush/filter change and drive it. Mine lasted till I sold it 3-4 years later. it could be a stuck valve inside to regulate the pressure during the gear change. I would the flush a try.

P0741 torque converter BUT check engine light doesn't show anymore

First the transmission is about $3,600 twice what you were told

You take it to a trans shop they should use the proper test equipment & road test, to check out the codes & maybe just
a converter clutch solenoid is needed

If the trans fluid has never been changed every 3 years since
2003, then the trans may be done & have to be replaced

If the fluid is dark, smells or is burn't,don't change it, as that is not
a fix for anything & it will slip & be unusable.

If a trans shop doesn't take you on the road test or into the shop
to explain things or pitches a rebuilt trans, then try another shop
& go thru the routine a second time

In the end the trans may have to come out, but not from the codes
I see, until properly diagnosed (I used to own a trans shop hope
that helps)

Just keep in mind a fluid change (never a flush) won't remove
debris from the valve body or any solenoids

Changing a failed or clogged solenoid & changing somewhat
clean fluid maybe all you need --cross your fingers-- not many trans
live long - good luck

'99 Ford Crown Vic LX: #12 30A Maxi fuse blows seconds after starting or ignition turned on.

i had this problem with my 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo with the brake lights it kept popping fuses right after the ignition was turned on try putting a higher amp fuse in place of the old one that keeps blowing then check for shorts to the starter and check grounds and wires and also the transmission issue check the fluid and then if the fluid is fine change the transmission filter the filter may have not gotten replaced when the transmission was rebuilt and may be clogged or dirty

1992 Honda Accord LX Automatic stuck in drive, slow to go.

You have an internal transmission failure, have a transmission repair shop look at this and be prepared to have it removed for repair and rebuilding.

I have a 2000 chrysier town & country 3.8 it shifts gears sometimes and then it is stuck in one gear can anyone help?

It sounds like you are either low on transmission fluid, or you have a shift solenoid or TCC Solenoid that is failing. Check the transmission fluid level when the engine is warmed up. If the fluid is at the correct level, see if your check engine light is on. If the CEL light is on, you probably have a failed Solenoid Valve. Have the code checked to find out which solenoid is faulty.

My trans is stuck in second gear. Is that what

The town and country vans are know for transmission problems and it would not be stuck in 2nd gear if it was in limp mode. Limp mode typically controls the engine. I have seen people do a transmission flush/filter and add lucas to temporary fix the problem. There is also a good chance that the transmission has a solenoid problem preventing it from shifting into any other gears but second. Hope this helps!

I have a 2001 town and country. yesterday i went to put it into park and it sounded like a clunk. Like it shifted really hard and now my transmission is stuck in 2nd gear. I took the negative batterey...

This is called the limp mode. It means that you have a transmission problem. It goes into limp mode to protect the transmission from total failure. You need to take it to a transmission shop to perform a diagnosic test to see if it needs repair or replace
