There is a small fuse box on the driver's side of the dask and the left side of the dash. The fuse is number 14, a 20 amp fuse on the passenger side of the dash.

2001 cherokee laredo cigar lighter and power outlet not working. blown fuses replaced, still not working. power outlet fuse i pdc checked and good. could cigar lighter relay be bad?

No , can't be the relay , by looking at a wiring diagram the power outlet has different supply voltage . Fuse 1 25 amp is for power outlet an cigar lighter use's fuse # 2 25 amp. Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb/ Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on interior & driver amenity, then under subsystem click on cigar lighter . Click the search button , then the blue link. Looking at the diagram you will see they have different fuse's. Something up stream from there is blown . Need to look at electrical distribution diagrams. Go back to system an click on electrical distribution then under subsystem click on power distribution . Click the search button then the blue link. Scroll down to the # 6 diagram . You will see fuse # 4 50 amp location is under hood fuse box . Check that fuse .

Where is the physical location of the fuse for cigarette lighter/power socket located as shown in the 04Jun15 posted diagram? Is it under the hood or elsewhere?

I've not seen the diagram listed but on google images there are various pictures of the fuse box with the cigar lighter clearly shown and giving the location as passenger side engine compartment.

I put ink pen in lighter socket while driving and car shut down. never started again

Refer to the owners manual fuse diagram page for the "under seat fuse panel". The "cigar" lighter as is referred to in the Rover manual will share the circuit with a couple other items so its easy to overlook when scanning the diagram. Locate this fuse and if blown replace. If you do not find this fuse to be nlown replace it anyway and move to the under hood fuse/relay panel between the battery and radiator overflow tank. you will see a group of four "MaxiFuses". These look like the fuse you just examined on steroids. Same shape but five times the size. Locate the maxi with the "30" (30 amp) printed on top. With engine off, pull this fuse and you will clearly see any failure thru the side. Replace if necessary. I would need additional info in order to troubleshoot additional possibilities. Feel free to repost and Ill be happy to help. Good Luck!

Lighter socket doesnt work

It could possibly be a blown fuse, just find the fuse access panel under the dash,on the inside of panel should be a diagram that will help you locate the cigar lighter. If blown replace. If it is not blown, you may need to replace cigar lighter.

Toyota Caldina 2001 no power to cigar lighter, radio, clock!

Hi there
If it was the front dash mounted lighter socket you used, the correct fuse is the 15A CIG & RADIO fuse (at the end of the second row) of the dash fusebox. If replacing the fuse hasn't fixed it, you may need to look closer at the wiring from the fusebox as it's likely the wiring has gone open circuit.
Take the fuse out and check for voltage at the terminals in the fusebox with the ingition key turned to the ACC position. One terminal or the other will have 12V on it. If no voltage on either you have a fusebox to ignition key wiring problem. Check for voltage on the ACC pin of the ignition switch, with the key turned to the ACC position. That's pin 3, a blue wire, of the 8 pin ignition switch connector. If still no volatge the switch is likely faulty. the voltage into the switch must be there as it also feeds the ECU and IGN systems, so the car wouldn't run at all if it wasn't.

There is another possibility. If you have an alarm system, immobilizer or turbo timer (assuming the GTT model) these devices could be interrupting the power lines and be the culprit devices.

I assume it wasn't the rear hatch area lighter socket you used, because the fuse for that doesn't power the radio or clock. The fuse for that socket is the 15A ACCESSORY fuse in the passenger side footwell fuse panel.

Where is the radio fuse located on 2003 chrysler T&C

According to the Haynes repair manual: "There is no fuse and relay box inside the passenger compartment.  However, there are a number of fuses, relays and circuit breakers in various locations under the dash.  The heated mirror circuits and the circuit for the lower instrument panel power outlet (in the floor console) are fused with self-resetting fuses that are only serviceable by an authorized dealer."  However, in the fusebox under the hood (a.k.a Integrated Power Module) there is a fuse RDO/IP IGN which is the fuse for the radio.  Check this fuse.  Both the radio and the Cigar Lighter are fused through the IPM.
