air conditioner/heater compressor's or evap canister is leaking on the floor. It is very common with the focus. After time that water begins to stink! Try silicone to seal the leaky component which would be above the floor mat.
I had the same problem. Take note of black plastic trim piece that runs
along the bottom of the windshield. On the passenger side there is a
pan type attachment to this piece of trim; it can become detached from
the trim. In this case it needs to be positioned under the lower lip of
the windshield.
i have a 2003 st170 and to replace my bulbs you have to release the flaps on the back of the light by pushing the metal clip down. remove the cover completely. on the bulb will be a metal clip i think if you push the end which will be towards the wing of the car down and then it will swing towards you and release the bulb. remove bulb and replace with new. try not to handle the bulb with your bare skin use a tissue to handle it with. when fitting the new bulb make sure you get the groove in the bulb inline with the one in the housing this way the bulb will sit in the correct position its easy enough.
repeat for the opposite side... im not sure about your car but with the st170 you have to remove the battery in order to replace the drivers side bulbs.
There are drains under the battery box and under the ECU module. When they plug with dirt, pine needles, whatever, the water fills up the space and backs into the vents or wherever it can leak through the firewall and usually ends up in the rear footwell, drivers side. If you don't get on it and maintain those drain holes, it will start to take out the electrical. Gets very expensive for a simple design flaw. The carpet has to come up and thoroughly dried as well. Not much fun and a lot of work.
