I have a warning light on dashboard of peugeot 406 hdi and

I have a light on dashboard of peugeot 406 hdi and don't know what it is, on right of rev counter a few wavey lines? also brakes are being ''funny'' stuttering to a stop every now and again. might be related?

    Hi, Can you please describe further... Is there a picture of anything else, with the wavey lines? Does it look like "heat" wave lines? Does it look like "skidding" lines? It's hard to understand, without knowing your vehicle first hand... Await your response...

    red wavy lines light maybe the water coolant level low indicator

It is the front brake pad wear indicator. Basically your brake pads are worn out and need replacing

Sounds like a fault on traction control or abs
check the abs rings on the front drive shafts

Electrical fault on peugeot 406 hdi
lift the carpet at o/s/f {drivers front footwell} there is two multiblock connecters guarenteed tobe sodden with water disconnect connectors& dry with a hair dryer on low setting hopefully the pins are not corroded reconnect connectors this is aknown fault i have worked with peugeot&citroen for 24 years kind regards alastair
