Coil packs go out but before replaceing just look under the wire where it hooks up and see if it is rusty or corroded.sometimes just one side goes out which I find kind of odd but it does happen,

These engines have 3 coils and are paired 1 and 4 2 and 5 3 and 6 with a spark noid run to see if the paired cylinder has no spark if so remove coil from module and test the power supply to coil and with a logic probe test the trigger side if blinking with no spark your coil is bad. not blinking replace module.
DOES THIS VEHICLE USE COIL PACKS? MOST LIKELY (3.)....1 THAT FEEDS CYLINDERS 1&5 ....1 FOR 2&3 AND 1 FOR 4 AND 6......OR SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THAT. CHECK FOR A BAD COIL THAT FEEDS 4 & 6 TRACE PLUG WIRES TO INSURE THAT SAID COIL FEEDS #'S 4 & 6
153624 is possibly the firing order but the numbering of the cylinders ? never seen one so i wouldnt know sorry their out engines here in europe only use 4 cylinders and the newer ones 3 cylinders try 143625 if the first firing order doesnt work ,i would expect no 1 to the front left but i just dont know i could work it out with head under the bonnet and follow the rockers working out the timing but offhand no idea
If you mean the firing order of the 3800 Series II V6 engine, it is 1-6-5-4-3-2. The numbers are usually stamped on the coil packs and care should be taken when running plug wires that the number on the coil pack lead goes the the corresponding cylinder number. Cylinder locations on the engine are as follows: Standing with the hood open on the passenger side of car facing the front of the engine (end where sertentine drive belt is located) The left bank is 2-4-6 front to rear, and the right bank is 1-3-5 front to rear of engine.
cylinders 2-4-6 are on the back side of the engine. 2 is on the passenger side, 4 is in the middle, and 6 is on the drivers side.
Cylinders 1-3-5 are on the front of the engine. 1 is on the passenger side, 3 is in the middle, and 5 is on the drivers side.
The coils should be labeled with there corresponding cylinder number. If it says 2 near the coil tower than the number two spark plug wire goes to that tower and the other end goes to the number 2 cylinder.
