Dexron III ATF is what BMW called for in the power steering pump in these models. However, GM no longer makes a type-III ATF!
Nice thing about GM Dexron specifications is that any higher numbered fluid meets the requirements of previous, lower numbered fluids. What does this mean? Siphon out as much as the old junk as you can. Refill with Dexron III and if you cannot find that? A common on the shelf *upgraded* synthetic fluid can be found in Dexron VI that more than adequately surpasses previous Dex-III specifications. So use with confidence! Pour and forget...

the tesioners (a/c and alternator) are where you will release the tension on the belts. usually the will be a 16mm hex that you can turn and hold to release the spring pressure from the belt.
