Engine Identification
Facing the front of the engine, the engine serial number is
located on the side of the engine block on your right. (The engine's
left front side.)

On the top of the bellhousing. From the drivers point of view it is in the 11:00 o'clock position. The harness wraps around the back of the bellhousing and plugs in on the passenger side of the block near the oil sending unit.

This could be an issue with the shift solenoid , but can also be caused by low fluid due to a leak, check your fluid. Is there a check engine light on, if there is it could be a solenoid issue.
