Ignition key and alarm problems: starting

How might I unarm the factory or possibly an after market alarm system installed for these vehicals unarmed, (self arming when battery is connected) and how in the world do you get a WalMart manufactured key out of the ignition, (went in fine, alarm willnot allow starter function & can't remove)?

Doesn't by opening the hood, that will disarm the alert system? Is it factory installed system? Try removing the fuse for the alarm system (near the system box - probably around the brake light switch). There must be a crossed wire somewhere.

SOURCE: wrong key was put in the ignition now the factory willn't work

If you managed to jam the wrong sidewinder key in the slot, you probably damaged the tumblers. The immobilizer system would simply not read the correct code and would refuse to start the Accord, nothing more. There is not a lock out function for the wrong code. More likely there is a damaged tumbler and you may have to have the Dealer replace it and reset the code.
Take it to a Honda Dealer.

SOURCE: where is the starter relay on a 94 Honda Accord

Yes, it sounds like your solenoid is bad and staying engaged against the flywheel, you could do an amperage draw and a voltage drop test to find out for sure, but you will need an DVOM and a amp clamp. Or you could take it into an auto parts store and they will test it for free. Hope this helps.

2001 jeep grand cherokee limited is armed but lost keyless entry remote and wont start. is there anyway to bypass alarm so it will start?

Usually you can lock all the doors. Open the drivers door with the key, this will unarm the security. If not, try the passenger side.

I have just recently got a 98 grand prix. When i got it the remote that came with it didnt work, so i replaced the battery and try it, i was able to lock it but not unlock it, and now the alarm is active....

Put key in ignition, turn forward two clicks (to on). Leave for 10 minutes. Then turn key off, then try to start. Did it reset the security?

If you want to disable the security, entirely bypass it and never worry again about passkey and all its problems, there is a firm that sells a module , easily installed, cost is $190 (vs. about $1000 for the dealer to work on and replace expensive parts in the passkey system). The module mimics the passkey system in signals to the computer, allowing the start circuit and ignition circuit to not be interrupted by passkey. The firm is at newrockies.com. Or check this site from a disgruntled Buick owner. It has a link to the newrockies site:

How to find a installed non-factory alarm on a 1992 lincoln town car

Look under the steering column you will see a panel held in place with screws remove that panel . That is about the only place with enough space to house the alarm system. It maybe somewhere else but I don't think so.

Reset alarm 2005 chrysler 300c

please download a copy of the owner's manual from this site. Enter the year and model number from the drop down list.

If you want to disarm the alarm then press the unlock button on the key. Usually the alarm stops after 15 minutes of flashing and 3 minutes of honking. But the system will tell you that the alarm had been triggered whilst you were away by giving 3 honks when you return and unarm the system.

Lost door lock remote for 2001 Nissan Xterra.

You don't want to turn the security system completely off, besides there really is no need to. To arm and disarm the vehicle simply use the key in the drivers door. When you turn the key and lock the car the system will arm after about 30 seconds. When you come back to the car and unlock the car with the drivers door lock cylinder the system will unarm, just the same as if you were using the remote. If the system is unarmed and it still wont start you probably have a NATS issue with the key. This is different than simply disarming. You can't shut off or disarm the NATS system.

all you have to do is locate the swtch and whit the ignition on turn the swicch ones and that's it the switch must to be small some where under the dash but if you can't find it just have some autorepair remove your ald alarm system
