I have a 2000 f 350 crew car duallie . A dog lived in it so I am switching seats from a 2000 f450 lariat the front driver seat works but for and aft is slow. how do I switch motor from my old seat As I am afraid the new one is starting to go (everything is our of the truck right now to bare floor> Also the rear seat has a power motor which moves it forward I think it is one of those which fold out to a flat bed? I want to splice some wires from my front seat power feed (green wire, black wire plus one more) How do I do that? i will need to get a switch (like a window up down switch) The rear seat motor has a yellow and a white wire.

the only way to do this is to take the seat out remove it from the rails take the rails to a machine shop and have them weld on extensions for the seat to slide on. you will also have to remove the rear seat stop so it will go further back and have them make catches in the extension for the seat to catch onto.
Testimonial: "Thanks . . . a great starting point!"
SOURCE: The electric driver's seat on my 2000 Ford Explorer will not move
the switch has failed or a combination of the switch and motor. the switch will be the easiest to replaace as you will have to remove and on some vehicle partially disassemble the seat to do the motor. The switch os mounted on the plastic panel which is held to the seat usually by 2 - 4 screws.

I had the same problem with my truck, ieven took it to a window repair shop while driving home it started to rain lord a behold,I looked on the back sit and it was wet. After all that i found out that the water was comming in from the break lite on top of the roof.all you have to do is take the cover off and replace the seal around the cover because it is worn out or get some sealeant and place it around the inside cover.
