The radio just turned off in my 02 vw jetts

It could be a couple of things. If you have an older battery, low voltage can cause this issue or if the battery is ok you might need to recalibrate the steering angle settings:

Start the car
Now turn the steering wheel all the way to the left... Wait a second.
Now turn the steering wheel all the way to the right...wait a second.
Now center the wheel... Light goes out and your steering angle sensor is now re-calibrated.

Hi. Do you have a second key? the key may be faulty. Check if there is a key symbol that is on in the dash insert when it cuts.

• Intake Air System leaking
• Oxygen Sensor(s) and/or Oxygen Sensor Control faulty

Possible Solutions

• Check Intake Air System for Leaks (False Air)
• Check Oxygen Sensor(s) and/or Oxygen Sensor Control (all of them!)

This is the pre 02 sensor located before the catalytic converter.

check the fuse on the back of the radio, i have seen these blow a couple of times. you have to remove the radio using the same tools as a ford style radio (the two prongs on each side).

Leaking coolant out of AC,

Check the water pump... the impeller may be loose and the water/antifreze is not circulating.

I have this same issue, it is not code related, I have a code and the radio works just fine WHEN THE CAR IS OFF. As soon as the engine starts, the radio loses power, did you ever find a solution to this?
