The security alarm and engine immobilizer are functions of the Body Control Module (BCM) and the ECM. You can't just pull fuses. When the battery goes completely flat, or is disconnected, you just need to reset the Security System which is done via the Remote Fob.
Grand Cherokee isnt have "fuel reset switch"; if you have a problem there, could be a fuse or wiring problem in the cricuit; also could be fuel pump itself. If you need other details, just ask, we have 1993-'98 Repair Manual.

must be careful, because of the air bag.
disconnect the battery and wait for 10 minutes for the air bag capacitor to discharge power.
remove the air bag module from the steering wheel
remove the center nut, then steering wheel
the clock pring is a yellow round piece that fitted inside the steering column. there is a snap ring hold the clock spring in place. disconnect the wiring then remove the clock spring.
I had the same problem I believe..... Changed the spark plugs and at the same time I changed the oil & Filters, (Oil & air ). You may not need to change the air fliter, But mine needed it. With the step buttons on the overhead, I could not find any reset. (my check engine light staied on) I'm no Darn Computer geek & frustrated easly by them. LOL ....So I disconected the battery cable, ( waited 15 to 20 sec) then reconnected the cable and this resets the computer. No more worning signs. You may just need to change the oil & filter and reset the cp. Hope this helps RC
Jeeps did have a problem with the clock spring in the steering column.
This clock spring is a part that connects the lower harness with the
switches on the steering wheel. To replace the clock spring it will
have to be done by a qualified tech since the airbag itself has to be
removed. Have the car checked for codes first before making any repairs.
