Three of my windows will not roll down in my 1999 Saturn S series. Sometimes, they manage to roll down, but I then have to pull them back up because they won't roll back up. How much do you think it will cost to fix them?

Remove inner door panel and remove the glass that is left in the window track. Apply glue and place new glass in track and give it plenty of time to dry and set. Then replace inner door panel after all is fine.

The driver door doesn't have a switch to roll it up

Sometimes they will come back up after the window motor cools down.....if your lucky. If you can grab part of the window and pull up while pressing the up button you may get it to start coming up. If not, your stuck until you have someone remove the door panel and replace the window motor.

Scrub out the window channel with plenty of washing up liquid. Some mechanisms will not lift a window against concerted resistance as a safety measure to fingers etc. being removed (ouch!) If the window still refuses to rise and you can hear the motor running it is likely that you have worn or stripped the initial teeth on the window regulator mechanism. If the window rises only after you have pulled it up a couple of inches this would also indicate the fault with the regulator mechanism, you may also have to remove the inner panel to confirm this. If so replace the regulator and ensure the first 12 teeth are liberally lubricated with grease.

all that mean is that you need a new clutch, it sounds like your sliping when your shifting gears hope this info help you.

SWITCH COULD BE BAD ALSO THE WINDOW COULD BE IN A BIND OR OFF TRAC.MAKING IT HARD TO GO BACK UP.

I have had to replace three of the four window power regulators in my 2000 Durango. They just seem to stop working within a year or two of each other.

does car has a automatic power window or a normal manual controlled window

so you have to pull the run channel out then slide the window in the regulator/ then slide the run channel back into window/ you have to have that run channel out to put glass in youve just about got ituse glass cleaner in the run channel to slide it back down/ Please rate my respmse thank you very much
