Something as simple as a different tire size can cause the abs to go
nuts. I even had it where the two tires were the same size. But a
different brand name. Each manufacture has their own tire sizing so not
all tires a equal in size. Even though it says on the side of the tire
that they are the same size.
Sometimes the cooper inside the insulation of the wires going to the sensors corrodes.
Especially on the front units. It reads more ohms than normal but not
open and is very intermittent. However moving the wires my make it work
for a while. That's why replacing bearings seems to fix the problem but
it comes back after a while.
You can test the speed sensors yourself...
Front sensor specs:
956 to 1240 ohms in 41 to 110 degree weather
at least 100mV AC (NOT DC!) volts when hub is spun by hand
Rear sensor specs:
950 to 1300 ohms in 41 to 110 degree weather

is some information from service bulletins that could be related to the
problem. The traction control, antilock brakes, and tire inflation
monitor all use wheel speed sensor input.
This first bulletin seems like it could be the problem because engine movement is involved:

This Bulletin covers a problem that can cause multiple failures, one of
which is an Antilock brake problem, and covers 2000-2003 Impala and
Monte Carlo built prior to 2/03.
Check to make sure the wiring harness adjacent to the AC
accumulator/dryer is not rubbing against the ac accumulator chaffing
through the insulation of the wires in the harness.

if you have an after market sterio with out the speical wiring harnass made for gm. it will cause those lights to stay on all the time even though there is no problem with anything. i have the same problem but the car runs great

It is one of your wheel bearings. The problem is easily solved by taking the car to a dealer, or having a code reader, and determining which wheel bearing is bad. The wheel bearing is under $150 and should be installed by someone with some muscle, as the bolts are torqued from the factory extremely tight in a tight location. The wheel bearing have all of your sensors for abs built into them and if that sensor goes out your computer tells the abs and traction control to shut down, hence you get the lights on on the dash.

Sounds like you have a bad wheel speed sensor. You need to have it scanned. Since it's been sitting, it might just be a bad connection to one of the speed sensors.

Check your rear brakes and inside the rear Rotors. There are ABS scanners and if Autozone or Oreillys have that type of scanner, they will scan for free.
Because the Trac Control is on the Rear axle all of your problems are probably rearward. What usually happens is the Emergency brake material and the Rotor pads wear down and blind the sensors. Sometimes the Trac Control will destroy the brake linings. The Trac Control works by applying the rear brake to the fastest spinning wheel in an effort to match each rear wheels speed.
When the sensors have debris flying in front of them, they miscount and include the debris in figuring RPM. Someone needs to disassemble and inspect the back brakes.

If you had the car scanned with a generic OBDII code reader (Which is what they use at all the parts stores) this is probably why it is not showing any codes. You have "Vehicle Specific" codes. This means that the problem with your Check Engine light is not a problem that will generate a "generic" OBD code. A generic OBD code reader will not read codes from your Antilock Brake System or your Traction Control System at all... You need to have it scanned professionally by someone who has the proper equipment and software to access the Controller Area Network (CAN) in your vehicle.
