1999 Chevy Blazer 4x4 4door 4.3L V6 Fuel pump replacement.

1999 Chevy Blazer 4x4 4door 4.3L V6
I will replace the fuel pump, it's weak.
I saw a fuel pump list price at JC Whitney catalog $159.95. I did not see a module attached, should the module be replaced as a matter of good practices, or just use the old one. I have not dropped my fuel tank to start this replacement yet. How about some recommendations?

Hello,
Replacing the sending unit / module is optional when its a metal top module. If it's plastic I would replace the whole thing reguardless.

I hope this helps.

Roy

Our fuel pump stopped working on our 98 Chevy Blazer V6 4.3L Vortec Engine, so we bought a new one. A couple days later (before replacing the fuel pump) it started up and ran but ran crappy. So we did

what did you do (replace it) if you still have a miss you may need to tune it up / make sure the fuel pump you bought is for the right psi for your blazer

1999 Chevy Blazer dies after it reaches operating temp. fuel pump is still running but no fuel to motor?

the only thing You can do is take a test light and check the grey wire at the fuel pump to see if you have power while someone cranks the engine. If so replace the fuel pump. If not replace the fuel pump relay. Hope this helps , leave a comment.

1999 chevy blazer wont start

THE FUEL PUMP IS BAD.

if your losing fuel pressure after the pump runs the drain back valve in the pump has failed.

and i doubt that you are seeing enough fuel pressure to run a vortec engine.

low fuel pressure equals a non running vortec
