Secuirty Code for 97 Avalon

I disconnected the battery in my 97 Avalon, to replace it with a new one. Now it is saying that I need a SEC (secuirty) code for my radio to play again. Does anyone happen to have it?

Sorry , it is different for each vehicle. The toyota dealership should be able to tell you based on the VIN # of the vehicle. If your car happened to come with an owners manual or service manual , look through it for a hand written # . People often write them down so they don't forget them. Good luck.

My Radio say SEC? I cant start radio

The sec displayed is security code in case radio is stolen it cant be used without entering the code. Owner may have disconnected battery and didnt put a memory saver in lighter outlet so it locked. If you go to dealer they can retrive the code for you then you enter code and radio should work.unless they changed the factory code. If not and code from dealer works keep in car or safe place so you have it. Usually no charge to do retrival at dealer takes 2 minutes. Hope this helps

Factory Stereo Security Code (Honda)

If for some reason your Honda Motor Vehicle requires you to disconnect the 12 V automotive battery or you happen to have incident with a discharged or failed battery you will need to enter your factory radio secuirty code to restore it's function. You can do this by simply referencing a dealer repair or service invoice that you may have kept, most people keep service records with their vehicle, you will see plainly stated most times on the left side of about the middle of the page ( Radio Code)
a series of 5 numbers use these and your back to easy listening...

Secuirty Light

Security system has been triped. Try using remote or key in the door. Lock door, then unlock. Should reset system. Let us know if that works.

1997 Avalon radio theft problem

Some dealers put the radio's antitheft code in the owners manual. If it's not there call your local dealer and they can reset the code for a fee.
