1.Just use a spark plug range, but you must remove all the ignition wires. Put a label or number to each of the wires, so that you will put it in their proper places after you change the spark plugs.
2.Using a spark plug range will get the plugs deep in
the blocks.
3.Before you install the replacement plug, you must adjust the spark gap of the plugs to the thickness of
a hacksaw blade.
4.After installing the spark plugs, replace the ignition
wires to it's proper places.
5.then, you can get you car to start.

97 acura 2.2 cl engine light p0302 code

A P0302 is indicating that cylinder # 2 is misfiring...Cylinder # 2 is the second plug counting from the front to rear of engine...Main causes for misfire are: defective spark plug, spark plug wire...When was last time plugs were changed? if it has been awhile I would suggest changing them...Also the spark plug wires should be replaced...Changing one plug and/or one wire isn't a good idea; change them all...Plugs cost two or three dollars apiece and a set of wires around $15...Standard motor products wire set # 4717...Spark plugs; Bosch platinum gaped at .044

2001 Acura CL 3.2. Hesitation on acceleration.?just tuned up with new plug wires. any suggestions? Only code or 40 2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1.

You said you changed the plug wires did you change the plugs too? My daughter has a 97 CL and when her plugs get fouled it causes hesitation as well as problems starting up. If you haven't changed those do that first. Is that code correct at 40 or is it 401 ? You can take it to autozone and they can tell you what it means or the correct codes.

Plug wires got mixed up on d cap end and i dont know how to figure out where they go. 1997 Acura cl 2.2

Remove the spark plugs. Block the number 1 cylinder hole with your hand(LHside of engine) . Rotate the engine by hand/wrench. As soon as you feel air coming out of the hole rotate the engine until you feel it to start sucking on your hand. Look at the position of the rotor(remove the distributor cap). This is the number 1 plug lead position. Moving clock wise connect cylinders 1-3-4-2 in that order.

I replaced EGR valve on my 97 Acura 3.0 CL after

I am fixing to change my EGR valve and the piece of paper that came with the part say this:

Important Notice
Before installing this part, check the EGR valve passage in the intake manifold and clear any carbon blockage. Failure to do so will result in repeat malfuntion of the EGR valve system. Refer to a technical service manual or contact a service dealer for proper cleaning procedures.

Hope this helps.

Spark plug replacement

you will see six wires running from the engine to a central box.....trace them from the box to the engine and at the end of each wire will be a spark plug. You may have to remove a hard plastice shell from the the top of the engine.
screw drives and deep socket are all the tools you should need

Good Luck
