I Use to have a 2004 model of the car in question. Now I have a 1993 Porsche Carrera. But the 4WD light never flashed... if it still works perfectly fine then I think it’s not such a big deal. If the 4WD acts weird or malfunctions. Take it to your local Suzuki Dealership or Auto Mechanics Garage.

SOURCE: Where can I get the remote control for Suzuki XL-7 DVD player

Had the same problem. My wife went to a car audio place and bought the wireless headphones, I think they were cheaper. And I just bought a universal remote from Radio Shack, its a Radio Shack brand little gray remote. It was 9.99. You have to use the "search for codes" option in the instructions. I can turn the tv on, off, stop, play, skip, all that stuff.

SOURCE: Fully warmed up; blowing hot and cold; Suzuki XL-7

Its just a vent damper plate not operating, it's like a gate which controls the flow of air,,usually they are operated by vacuum, or cables.
Service center time, unless you are handy with your own repairs.

SOURCE: headlight

This is normal operation. The XL-7 has daytime running lights and automatic headlight controls. You can keep headlights off when starting by applying the handbrake. If / when the daylight sensor on the dash determines it is evening and turns on the headlights, they will come on regardless of the handbrake position; and obviously, if you want to move the car, you have to release the handbrake (and headlights come one).

2002 Suzuki XL-7 O/D off light doesn't come in when pressing over drive switch on gear selector

check fuses
the OD lamp fails of the transmission fails and some suzuki
cars do not allow OD in 4wd, , is this car 4wd featured.
the OD may flash too for transmission errors.
you must scan the PCM (tcm inside) to see the reason why.
but put transfer case in to 2wd.
the operators guide covers this, for sure if 4wd car and chapter named the same.

Can I tow a 2003 Suzuki LX7 with an automatic transmission?

Hi,

Only the 4WD version is 'flat towable' - if yours is the front wheel drive version you will need a dolly as special equipment to prevent damage occuring to the transmission. Towing Auto vehicles is not really advisable in my opinion and unless it is specifically stated in the specification of the manufacturers handbook it is best avoided.

However you may want to check out this link which provides a list of towable pickups and SUVs that is updated each year. You can also find their list of towable vehicles from previous years there as well. These are vehicles that are factory approved by their manufacturers for towing behind a motorhome. Some vehicles such as the XL-7 require special procedures which must be followed, including speed and distance limitations.

For example, the 4WD version of the XL-7 requires special care to be taken every 200 miles in order to avoid the potential of transmission damage.

See link for more info

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

4wd works but light flashing in 4wd high and low

The front diff engages drive with air pressure supplied by a pump behind the front bumper. Air is supplied to the diff through a pressure switching/valve unit and rubber hoses to the diff that run under the car. These can be damaged whilst off-roading and the pump unit will have to remain on for longer to maintain 4WD. The loss in pressure or the longer time that the pump is on for is reflected in the flashing 4WD lamp. I'd be checking all hoses and connections under the car. The other thing that may have happened is water may have got into the switching unit and it is giving an error code.

The 4WD light comes on and off when in 4WD. It is not a steady light that glows all the time.

Check the switch which should be around the transfer box, it could be faulty or there maybe some connection problems probabely a lose connection .
