Are you sure you are looking at the belt that is squealing? Usually the alternator belt squeals when first starting engine, PS belt will squeal when turning the steering wheel all the way right or left. It the tensioner is maxed out, either the belt is stretched, worn out, or way overtightened.

It could squeel due to it being a new belt or dust/dirty from the road. the pulley could also be warn and squeaks due to metal rubbing against metal

I have issues with belt squealing on Suzuki swift. The car is a 2005 (new model) 1.3 petrol. Just before christmas the original 9 year old belt, I replaced the belt and squealing persisted, a week lat

if this has an automatic belt tensioner on it this sounds like the tensioner is weak and needs replacing. a weak or bad tensioner does and can cause belt squealing and can throw the belt alignment off causing your problem.

Serpentine belt on 2006 Ford Taurus SEL squealing.

The belt has most likely moved either in or out on the bottom pulley. Check it first. I had the same problem it looked ok but was out one groove missleading designed pulley.

My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs. I know this website reliable-store.com that I used to
buy them from, and they have online it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.

I just had my belts replaced on my 2004 Hyundai Elantra Sedan and it still squeals when i first start it up but goes away after i start driving. i added belt dressing spray and that helps but a week later...

check the tension. cheap belts will stretch. if after you retension them (especially the alternator belt) you may need to replace them with BANDO or OEM belts.

how many belts are on your engine?
And never, never use belt dressing or any spray on a rubber belt!
If you have more than 1 serp belt that drives every thing, remove the power steering belt to verify its that belt.Take a wire brush and clean the grooves on the pulleys and get that belt dressing of too, install new belt and noise will be gone.

My Serpentine belt is squealing above idle

first thing you need to do is get a new belt that belt dressing just destroyed that belt that stuff is no good then get a new belt tensioner clean all the pullys with some brake clean then install the belt tensioner and belt if its still sqealing there maybe a pully making the noise to check that when you have the belt off spin them by hand and listen to them and feel for any play in the bearings

The belt isn't tensioned correctly. Spay some WD40 on the belt whilst engine is running. May cure temporarily.
