2000 buick century ignition stuck on

Hi David I'm glad to help!

David I've found from time to time an Ignition switch will stick because the tumblers freeze. If you in fact have a tumbler and key set-up here a way that usually works but not always. Remove the key an spray lubricant into the key hole, then replace the key and using a small hammer tap on the end of the key while turning it off. Once you get it to move you'll need to replace the tumbler and housing assembly. NOTE: If you have a WIN Module set-up then remove the negative battery cable for 20 seconds then reconnect it and see if it works properly. This is only if you have the Module and key set-up, this has nothing to do with the key and tumbler. Hope this helps and have an awesome day David.

How do you get the ignition switch out of a 2002 dodge neon when i put the key in it wont turn so i think its the ignintion

ignition has bent pins
insert key tap it with malat
once key turns take car to lock smith for repair they can sand the pins once fixed remove some of the keys off your ring do not remove key b4 turning after wacking the thing with malat
failing this call mobile lock smith they are still cheeper than dealer and can fix on sight

new ignition from dealer 200 bucks cost to install it at dealer 200 bucks

locksmith will usually charge 50 - 125 to fix curent ignition 125 would include mobile visit usually

What causes motor to keep running after turning key off 98 corolla

Usually, something in the combustion chambers is too hot causing self ignition--carbon deposits in the head(s) that glow or the wrong spark plugs that run too hot. This problem usually makes a lot of 'clinking' sounds. If it seems to be running normally, replace the ignition switch which is probably remaining on in spite of being turned off!

There is a pin that you have to push in on the bottom of the lock cylinder housing. It is recessed in a hole. You have to turn the key to acc or on to get it to push in.Once you push it in you can pull the key and lock cylinder out.
