My ABS light on my 99 subaru outback has been on. we were able to turn it off by replacing a blown fuse but now the ABS keeps kicking in everytime I stop making the brakes pulsate. I needed the light to turn off in order for it to pass inspection but now the brakes are pulsating. any idea what I can do?

If the light is on , DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's are stored . These would point to a fix . Your best bet , take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

SOURCE: what causes pulsating brakes in a 96 subaru

Assuming you are not referring to the pulsation experienced when the anti-lock braking system engages, you should replace the rotors and the pads while you are at it. The days of turning or resurfacing rotors are over. They are cheap.

SOURCE: check engine light on in 2001 subaru outback - car

If the light was flashing when it came on, then it means your engine is misfiring.

A solid light can mean anything from a loose/faulty gas cap to a transmission issue.

This light comes on when the computer detects a fault of some sort in its diagnostic tests. If it keeps detecting this issue, the light will remain on. If the light turns off, then it has detected that the issue may no longer be present.

In order to find out what the exact reason was for your light, You need to have your car computer scanned to retrieve the code that the computer would have stored when the light triggered. Most garages will do this free of charge. The code will tell you what may have caused the light to initially turn on.

2002 Subaru Outback. I replaced the headlamps on my car and now the fuse keeps blowing for the tail lights. Any advice please?

There are a few potential causes for the fuse blowing on the tail lights of your 2002 Subaru Outback after replacing the headlamps:
  1. Faulty wiring: The wiring for the tail lights may have been damaged during the headlamp replacement process, causing a short circuit and causing the fuse to blow.
  2. Faulty tail light assembly: The tail light assembly itself may be faulty and causing the fuse to blow.
  3. Incorrect fuse: Make sure you are using the correct size and type of fuse for the tail lights. Using the wrong fuse can cause it to blow.
To troubleshoot the issue, you can start by checking the wiring for any damage or loose connections. You should also inspect the tail light assembly for any damage or issues. If you are unable to find the problem, you may need to consult with a mechanic or dealership technician for further assistance. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to properly diagnose and repair the issue.

The ABS,Brake Light,Battery light go on and off sporadically while driving.Does this indicate an Alternator failure or a sensor/computer problem?

yes it's most likely a alternator problem, usually the internal diode bridge breaks causing all lights you mentioned to come on,if this happens at a idle open the hood and remove green connector on alt.if lights go out you've found the problem

Abs light on, cruise control and engine light 2007 subaru outback

55 EGR Temperature Sensor or Circuit

ABS light is nothing to do with code 55 separate fault circuits.

Under dash there are two wires with mini spades at the end, connect one of them to the single black multiplug in position 2. Thats RHS plug inlet when you hold plug with tab lock on top.
ABS sensor should then flash up error coded. Ignore code 11 thats a initial flash to let you nknow the difference between a fast and slow flash.

Let me know what code flashes up and I will tell you the symptom,

Dan
