TID saloon. Why is it lumpy on low revs?

White smoke is usually gas. Black smoke oil. It's probably flooding, injector or computer problems. Luckily, it sounds easily fixable at a good shop. A code reader will give clues, usually.

I have a mondeo 53 plate 2.0 tdci that has a lack of power and running lumpy

I would be checking spark plugs and plug leads. Also could be petrol injectors, sorry about so much but this could be many things. Billy

It stalls out at a dead stop or when turning.

When you say or when turning I assume this is because the revs drop down to the same idle speed the engine would do at a "Dead stop" if so this is probably a bad or sticky ICV (idle Control Valve) Did you notice any lumpy or high idle speeds in the lead up to this problem?

ERRATIC & LUMPY RUNNING? AND LACK OF POWER

I suspect that you have air leak from air induction system. try to chek the breather hose. there are two hoses behind the intake manifold one is connected to valve cover to PCV , check the hose condition and replace it if necessary.

Diesel engine

It sounds like the plugs are bad or not heating correctly. Running it out of petrol can mess them up like that sometimes.
