The tire pressure light won't go off....

I have a 2009 honda civic hybrid and the tire pressure light is still on..I have checked the car cold and each tire is 32 psi. It is very cold here, could that have anything to do with the light not going off?

You could have a defective pressure sensor causing this.
One more thing, some have a sensor in the spare tire.
Did you check that?

2010 Honda Civic Hybrid...Tire Low light came on...I continued to drive and the tire lost more air. Then a horrible sound came along. It sounds like something hitting the wheel well. I thought for sure...

Try to do your inflations when the tires are as close to cold as possible, ie: at the closest practical gas station. The further you've driven the more they will warm up. The tire pressure spec. on the sticker in door well is cold pressure. In a pinch when putting in air after driving a "fair" distance, go 2~4 lbs. over, and then recheck when cold.

Also, how good is your gauge? Are you using your own, or the gas station's, or just that funky thing on the pump hose?

Also, consider bumping them up, say to around 40 lbs (verify the max pressure indicated on the sidewall is still higher, likely 44). This will be more likely to rule out measurement inaccuracies, and improve your mileage as well. The only downside is a harsher ride.

Please check for the following conditions:
* Low tire pressures. Raise the tire pressure to a "recommended" setting, preferably close to or at the tire's maximal pressure rating.
* Perform a four wheel alignment and look for signs of unusual tire wear.
* Add additional insulation to the rear passenger and cargo area of the vehicle.
* Check for a defect in the rear control arms as identified in service bulletin 08-001 affecting primarily 2006 and 2007 models. This defect is responsible for abnormal tire wear, noisy operation and even responsible for poor directional tracking at highway speeds.

Low tire pressure light comes on once temperature outside dropped. Had checked..tire pressure fine. How do I reset to make indicator light go away?

What was the pressure.? the tire pressure specification should be on the drivers door jamb. It needs to be set cold. The light will go off when each tire signals that it has the proper pressure.

Resetting the tire pressure light

If you set all of your tires to the amount specified on the sticker in the drivers door jamb, it should go out itself. If it doesn't, you might have a bad tire pressure sensor. (There is one per wheel)
