yes battery is good, lights are bright, dash lights come on. i ran a test light to the ignition coil wire and there is power on both sides but it wont even cough as to try to start. i was thinking electrical ar fuel pump but i dont know how to see if the coils are firing. i tried a test light in the spark plug wire wile turning over but no light

Hello. Does it crank at all? What happens when you turn the key now? Any noises or clues? Do your lights work in the dash? Sounds like something may have run your battery down overnight, possibly a short, that is if the battery is dead now.

97 Ford crown vic fuse is good lighter wont work

Did you check voltage and ground, at the lighter socket? Maybe the lighter heater element is faulty, you can usually replace those.

Even if the fuse is good, that doesn't mean there is voltage on the circuit.

I have a 97 geo metro 4 cyl engine the other day broke down the wrecker driver said sounds like fuel pump is bad. I replaced pump and filter still would not start. getting fire. Last night I started it...

first check fuses. (test them)
then check for spark at all 4 cylinders. good.?
if not timed correctly (spark) with timing light, then the cam belt slipped. (oops not changed at 60k, oops)
if all that is good engine runs on test fuel, does it?
if yes, you lost fuel.

I have a 1989 Ford Crown Vic. Here lately the car will die going down the road. It will usually start right back up. SO, I replaed the in line fuel filter and it was fairly dirty. It ran great for a few...

Most likely the fuel pump, when the fuel filter gets that restricted,it most of the time,is not long before the fuel pump goes out, because of the strain on the pump.

Wont start

Sounds the starter is no good (sometimes they'll work intermittently for a while before they totally **** out). Of course it could just be a starter wiring problem (sending wire).

My 96' Jeep Cherokee will not turn over or start

ASE Mechanic here. check all the fuses to start, and check voltage on battery. if there was a battery draw all night the vehicle might have started but the alternator could not charge the battery because its power was too low and causing the ignition to die and then not allowing the vehicle to start. keep me posted!!!!!!!!!!!
