The air bag is on all the time unless there is a kid in the seat. There is a weight sensor in the seat try pressing on the seat with the seat belt bucked light on airbag off.
It appears this is a common but expensive problem:
P1126 Throttle Position (Narrow Range) Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P1725 Insufficient Engine Speed Increase During Self Test
The codes were here: Jaguar OBD II Trouble Codes
Try searching for x-type throttle position sensor, this seems to be your issue.
You will find the location of the sensors detailed at http://www.bluejag.co.uk There are two on each side of the engine (front and rear of the engine bay) roughly in the middle half way down the engine and almost at the bottom. The front ones you will be able to see clearly if you remove the battery and tray.
I purchased very similar here in the UK £4800 (trade) two years ago, only problem so far has been O2 sensor failure which I replaced myself but was still fairly expensive. Other than that car has been good. Check for Jag service history
