1st there are no free downloads of service manuals these are very expensive and they don't give them away, next the clutch is hydraulic and is self adjusting, sounds like the clutch is worn out on your car.

1994 VW Jetta 2.0 ,5 speed transmission, how do the adjustment cable work, need to adjust the clutch

you adjust the clutch like this, using two spanners to undo the two nuts at the gearbox end of the cable, then tighten up the larger of the two nuts to tension the cable, now inside the car push the pedal down, and adjust the cable so that you have about an inch of play from the rest position to actual contact of the arm movement, then lock up both nuts to secure, start the car and check the operation, there should be no need to readjust if correct.

1992 jetta gt clutch replacement

You will have to remove the ront suspension both sides to remove the drive shafts before you can start to unbolt the gearbox and lower it ,then replace the clutch .Best advice is to look for a online manual on this site and download it ,if you cannot find a jetta manual then a golf or seat ibiza or a skoda octavia will all be the same as they all use a VW road train

Cna i adjust athe clutch in a 1994 toyota pick-up

The linkage cable before the trans should have an adjustment nut on it. This controls the fork assembly movement. adjust the linkage to remove the pedal free play and this will also tighten the clutch.

I have a 2001 Jetta VR6. The clutch has very little play

so it engages at the end of the push or just when your foot is about to leave the pedal if it is all the way to the end when your foot is down to the floor this could mean that you have a leak in your slave cylinder or the clutch is just about to the end of its life. repair would be replacement.

Jetta clutch

The clutch cable for your vehicle is an auto adjust clutch cable... assuming it is using oem equipment. if you tension seems incorrect you may want to pick up this Manual adjust clutch cable http://www.germanautoparts.com/Volkswagen/Jetta/Clutch/39/11 the auto adjust ones tend to go out and ruin your clutch. the manual adjust is a direct swap out for the auto adjust. if you need info on how to install please reference this site http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1569293
