I am trying to set the timing mark on a 1996 honda accord with a 2.2L 16 valve. The cam and crank mark are okay. The only one I am concerned with is for the oil pump and the balancer. I heard that to set the engine balancer I need to remove a 12mm bolt cap and insert a 6X100mm in order to line up the balancer. I noticed that the balancer pully has a dot for marking and everytime I insert the 6x100 mm screw it sets in three different positions. My question is what is the right position mark for the balancer located on the under the water pump?

the rear ballancer has a drive gear and a driven gear so every three revolutions brings it back to the first setting and it does not matter at what setting you install the tool . the front ballancer (it's not the oil pump) has notches at 12 o clock i believe just make sure they are aligned. and remember to take that tool out!!

Where are the timing marks on a 2004 honda accord 4cyl with a timing chain?

there are lines on the cams that need to line up with each other in the center and there is a mark for the crank gear that you line up with the little triangle mark behind it.If you line up the white mark on the crank pulley and have the valve cover off so you can make sure you dont have the engine 180 out and dont move anything once you remove the tensioner you should do fine.

How to line crank and cam for timing belt on 1988 no crank marks

Hard to explain here... but I believe that car also has the balance shaft which needs to be timed as well. The camshaft has 2 lines which line up to the top of the head, and a "up" or "top" mark at the top.
Crank is set to 0 degrees.

I have a 1996 Honda Accord and I have replaced the timing belt...I need to know if anyone can help me with the camshaft and crankshaft markings.

There should be markings on the gears or pulleys for both parts. It would be a diamond or dot. The top part should be your cam and the mark would go on the bottom directly over the mark on the crank. The crank mark should be at high noon. They should not offset, they should be directly inline. Single overhead cam only.
