P0700 is a genetic code for the TCM has lost data connection from the transmission. Check all the fuses and wire harness to the TCM from the transmission. If everything look fine from the transmission to the TCM, then the TCM may have gone bad. One way to find out if it's the TCM is to go to a good transmission shop that can test drive the car while it's hooked up to a scanner which would indicate if it's the TCM or the wire harness or transmission it self. Note: one of the biggest flaw the intrepid have is that the wire harness to the shift solenoid is in the transmission, surrounded in the transmission oil which corrode the wire harness. Good luck and most transmission shop will trouble shot this free of charge.

I have a 2011 dodge caliber and it isz throw a c0700 code could u tell me what this is

P0700 DODGE - Transaxle Control System Malfunction

Symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Driveability problems
- Transaxle shifting problems

Possible causes - Shorted or open circuit within transmission control module (TCM)
- Failure of transaxle control module

Tech notes Since the P0700 is just and informative code, check the TCM for more codes to resolve the problem.

P0700 DODGE Description The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.
CLEAR THE CODES AND SEE IF IT RESETS. MOST LIKELY NOT A PROBLEM

I was driving my 2004 dodge sx 2.0 (automatic) when all of a sudden i lost the drive gear so i by instint droped it down in to third and still no response... So i pulled over to the side of the road and...

The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM. This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes. So basically, the P0700 code is telling you to check the TCM for a transaxle DTC. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has the PCM do it. The dealer probably saw the code P0700 and went to the TCM and pulled out the code stored there telling them the Transmission Solenoid Assembly (TSA) is bad.

Car does not run ,I check the code ,it is P0700

Because it is not starting, you should replace the Crankshaft sensor (above the oil filter, back of the engine)-it will cause a P0700-I have a 99 SL2, 178,000 miles

This is a good example of understanding what the codes actually mean. If the manual you looked at said the TCM is bad and to replace the TCM when you see a P0700, then it is wrong.

Error P0700. What is the cause? How to repair it?

P0700 JEEP - Transaxle Control System Malfunction

Possible causes
- Shorted or open circuit within transmission control module (TCM)
- Failure of transaxle control module

Tech notes: Since the P0700 is just and informative code, check the TCM for more codes to resolve the problem. So you'll have to have the dealer or another qualified shop/technician pull the transaxle codes from the TCM and go from there.

Check engine light on 2005 town and country 3.3

(DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

Translation:
Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure.

P0700 Information Code

The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM.

This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes.

P1776: Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in Low/Reverse Position. The TCM monitors the L/R solenoid to ensure that the fluid transfer happens. It uses a Pressure switch to verify this. Usually this code is set by a switch that is stuck or a solenoid that is not mechanically operating.

A transmission shop would be better suited for this type of work.

Transmission faul code po700

(DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure.

So basically, the P0700 code is telling you to check the TCM for a transaxle DTC. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has the PCM do it. It needs to be scanned with trans capable scanner to see what the trans code or problem is. You should have 1st, 2nd, and Reverse because the car is operating in limp-mode. Since you said the speedometer doesn't work, my guess would be a faulty (VSS) vehicle speed sensor.
