Rear Passenger Power Window Operation
The rear passenger power window switches receive battery voltage through the window lockout control circuit if the window lockout function is disabled. Ground for the rear passenger power window motors is supplied through normally closed up and down contacts of both the rear passenger power window switches and the driver power window switch. When the either rear passenger power window switch is placed in the down position, the power window motor down control circuit is switched to 12 volts and is applied to the down side of the rear passenger power window motor. Since the other side of the rear passenger power motor is connected to ground through the normally closed up contacts of both the rear passenger and driver power window switches, the window travels down. By placing the rear passenger power window switch in the up position, the polarity of the power window motor is reversed and the window travels up.
The rear passenger power windows can also be controlled from the driver power window switch.

Did you try pushing the lock out switch on the drivers master switch ?

Saturn doesn't have window issue ,no more then anyother car maker . Window switches go bad as do window regulators , wire's break inside the flex boot from the body to the door . Learning how to test the electrical circuit's is the way to find the problem , not looking for magical fixes on here . Viewing a wiring diagram an testing the circuit's with a test light or a voltmeter .

BY PASS SWITCH BY RUNNING A FUSED JUMPER WIRE FROM THE BATTERY POSITIVE TERMINAL TO WINDOW MOTOR CONNECTOR, HOT SIDE, AND A NEGATIVE WIRE BACK TO BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL...IF WINDOW OPERATES....IT IS THE SWITCH

Cannot be window switches. 4 of them do not all go bad at same time. but they all have in common the power that feeds them and is obviously not getting there. Using schematic trace voltage to the switches. Gtranted you changed the relay but is power getting to the relay for it to switch?

Would have to experience window problem myself, but sounds like you may need a new power window motor and/or window sash "peanut". (must remove door to fix this problem) 45 min. job for exp. tech. Good luck,best regards.

get a new power window regulator on ebay or at a parts store and have a glass shop install it for you. it is an electric motor and like all others, it will wear out with use and age. that is why the driver's window is almost always first to fail.

its either the power window switch or the power window motor, disoconnect the power window motor in the door and check to see if you got power and ground at the connector when you press the switch,,could be either,,,both are common

dont know, but im having the same problem. my pass. side front wont work, and the driver rear wont work. its a 2005 ion 2 i suspect its the motors in both of them. i will let you know in a day or two, as soon as i check the parts yard to get a couple.

I had the same problem with my saturn once i replaced the switch assembly (about $60.00) it works just fine

I have an '01' L200. I'll bet the problem is in the switch. I've been through 2 of them. The electrical contacts wear out especially on the drivers side. That's the one that gets the most use right? [no left really]. Pop out the old switch next to the shift lever. Gently pry up the front of the switch, then the rear. It will come out easy enough. The whole thing is one assembly that simply unplugs. It's not the same as the passenger side switch because of the window lock switch, the wiring harness is different, so they are not interchangeable. See if your local junkyard can fix you up with a replacement. Way cheaper than a dealer!
