The engine breather pipe seems to be blocked.
It may also damage the oil seals.
Oil coming out of oil filler cap and spraying all over engine there is a lot of pressure when u take off cap.
Its called blow by, sounds like you need a overhaul it should suck not blow, drive it till it drops
A clogged flame trap will cause oil to leak at oil filler cap and other area's. It's basically a pcv valve.
I have read several web-posts concerning oil leakage at the filler cap on the Volvo cast-iron engines, and have had the issue myself on previous 240 models, and currently have same on a 740. On-line advice refers to a "jiggle test" - run the engine with the filler cap loosened to see if it bounces/jiggles (indicates an unwanted positive pressure of the crankcase, likely due to a blockage of the flame trap/crankcase ventilation system), or it the cap seems to be "pulled"/drawn down against the gasket (indicates a normal negative pressure). Another suggestion was to hold a piece of Saran Wrap over the filler port (with cap removed) to observe whether it "puffs out" (bad/positive pressure) or is drawn into the valve area (don't let it go in!), which is good/normal. If there appears to be positive pressure from either test, the flame trap/crankcase breather system probably needs to be serviced - a rather difficult matter, due to the inaccessability of the flame trap, which is located under the intake manifold. Good advice appears to be to remove the manifold for reasonable access.
