My center console auxillary box has a card (the size of a credit card) that got stuck when I tried to place it in the box and the lid will only paritally open - is there a diagram somewhere to see how to get that lid off or do you have any suggestions - we can't open it to see how the lid is attached. Thanks.
Quite easy in fact just grab the plastic behind the control box and pull straight up the plastic will detach easily lift it up a little bit and you can now slide your fingers behind the lid cover.

Mine did that. Just pull up on the whole center console. It unsnaps and opens up so you can move whatever is blocking the door out of the way. I have a credit card stuck but a least it is in the center and my door works
Business cards slid down in the slot on my wife's car and prevented lid from opening. Using a very small flat blade screwdriver, I was able to work the cards to the center of the slot which allowed the protrusions on the back of the lid to go down thus allowing the lid to be opened farther. I rocked the lid up and down until I could get the lid all the way open. I continued this opening and closing until the cards were in a position I could get them
out. The whole process took about 5 minutes.
Sorry I cant solve it but the same thing has happened to me, its a really stupid design! Any solutions would be welcome.
