You need to get more information, but one possibility is that the fuel pump stops pumping. THis would result in a stall, but you dash lights would still be on. If, when this occurs, the dash lights go out, then we need to look in the area of the ignition circuits - ignition switch, etc.
hi well i have a1996 aurora and i like it alot and this is 2011 that says alot about this car i have done a new steering colum new water pump which was not that hard new alt and new pulley and lower control arm well now whats next on the list oh and by the way all that stuff i done on the car came out to about 600 so far i wil tel u about all fixes lets get to yours first it not a fuel pump its a crank position senor what happens is when your car is started it will run fine then not really while drive but when stopped at a light or something it cut off right then starts right back up if thats whats happens then just go get that crank position unit i think the aurora has two i havnt replaced mind yet now the other problems [first] the lower swing have bushing just got to youtube and type in how to fix lower swing arm bushing for the aurora and u will see videos on it and tricks of the trade on how to fix them its very easy water pump is located on the drive side of the car and its afast fix to,just take your time and u will get it the only thing that was hard to me was the lower pulley because u have to take out the motor mount screws drop the engine down in oder to get to all the screws make sure u have somthing up under the cars engine to hold it like a jack or something i used a hyr jack becauce i didnt have a engine holst here a link if you are having probkems with your lights going on and off even if you are not in the car and i just found this link today http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/... oh yea trying cover every thing i went threw if your radio and window stop working look up under your back set where the battery is at u have two fuse boxes well the box tht closes to the drives back door theres a curcit breaker that is grey or better yet it has five prongs sticking out of it thats the one u need to replace it just pulls out with ease thats part will cost about 40 and u only cn get it from a dealer.when u call about it just tell them u need the curcit break that controls the power windows and radio hope i was some help ppl

The engine
and transmission in this cars drive train are fully
electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train
Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer
stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions
to this, like the fuel pump for instance) in the form of a fault code
in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems
memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read
you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and
resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL THE
DIAGNOSIS & TESTING IS COMPLETED.
